View further information: Our Parent-Teacher Interviews will be conducted face-to-face on Tuesday 12 March 2024, with times allocated from 3:20pm. Interviews will be strictly limited to 10 minutes. You will be able to book a face-to-face interview through the Sentral Parent Portal from 5:00pm on Monday 4 March 2024. Bookings will close on Monday 11 March at 3:00pm. Parents who have ongoing concerns around face-to-face meetings are encouraged to email the school woonona-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au to request a phone interview. Teachers will co-ordinate a phone interview, at an agreed time. Out of fairness, phone interviews will be limited to 10 minutes as well. Parents who have previously registered for the Sentral Parent Portal are encouraged to logon to the portal to ensure they have access to the portal. Any changes to your email over the past year will require a new parent portal registration, click this link for details. Parents who have not registered for the Sentral Parent Portal will not be able to book Parent-Teacher Interviews using the online portal booking system. To register please go to the Woonona Public School website, click on ‘Communication Platforms’, then ‘Parent Portal Registration’. Follow the instructions to register. If you have any queries regarding the Parent-Teacher Interview session or the Sentral Parent Portal, please send an email to woonona-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au. Details on the afternoon session will be sent out closer to the day. This will include a map on interview locations.

CoS Day at Woonona High School

Year 6 will be attending Woonona High School for the Community of Schools CoS Year 6 Days on Monday 26 February, Monday 27 May and Monday 19 August 2024. These days are part of Woonona High School’s CoS transition plan which is designed to help prospective students become accustomed to the teachers, students and surroundings of Woonona High School. Year 6 students will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities including Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) investigations in laboratories and workshops, Humanities inquiry-based learning projects and Creative and Performing Arts mini production in specialist spaces including Drama theatre and Visual Arts studio spaces. As all experiences in high school settings are valuable, all Year 6 students are expected to attend this excursion, regardless of future high school preference. ● Location: Woonona High School ● Time: Meet at Woonona Public School at 8:45am. Students will return to school from 2:00pm ● Transport: Students will walk to Woonona High School accompanied by Stage 3 teachers ● Wear: School uniform and school hat ● What to bring: Recess and lunch (the canteen will be open but it cannot be guaranteed that any food will be left available after the HS students have had recess/lunch), water bottle and sunscreen Please return the permission note directly to classroom teachers by Friday 23 February.
