The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to the Library in November. We are holding the Book Fair over a 2-week time period and all viewing and purchases will occur in your child’s usual library lessons. This will allow for minimal interruptions to school routines and longer times to view books, organise payments and make purchases. Book Fair Dates: 4 to 14 November 2024 (Week 4 & 5) The theme of our Scholastic Book Fair is Catch the Reading Wave, where we hope students will find so much to read! It’s a fun reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. There is a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. The procedures for the BOOK FAIR this year are: In Week 4 - students will preview books one class at time during library lessons. Students will complete wish lists with teacher assistance and children will take them home. Parents decide what they would like to purchase, pay by credit card online and note receipt number on the wish list OR return wish list with cash payment in an envelope. Week 5 – during library lessons children return completed wish list and payments to purchase book/s. Children bring home books. Reorders will be placed on out-of-stock books and will be delivered to school within 1-2 weeks. Week 4 Viewing Days: Monday 4 November: 3-4L, 3-4R, 3-4T, 1C, 2B, 2C, 2L, 3-4B Tuesday 5 November: 5-6A, 5-6B, 3-4A, 3-4N, 5-6M, 1C, 5-6T, KD Wednesday 6 November: KB, 5-6H, 5-6P, KG, KS, 1S Week 5 Purchasing Days: Monday 11 November: 3-4L, 3-4R, 3-4T, 1C, 2B, 2C, 2L, 3-4B Tuesday 12 November: 5-6A, 5-6B, 3-4A, 3-4N, 5-6M, 1C, 5-6T, KD Wednesday13 November: KB, 5-6H, 5-6P, KG, KS, 1S A detailed list of all books available to purchase including photos and prices will be sent home soon. This will hopefully help you and your child decide on what books you want to purchase and also to help if you would like to purchase some extra books yourself.
